We are pleased to welcome Scott Matthews, our new Planning Board and Board of Adjustment member. Scott has been kind enough to offer his time and attention to the Town of Sims by serving as the ETJ alternate.

The general purpose of the Planning Board is to provide for and guide the orderly growth and development of the community. The Planning Board is responsible for providing recommendations on key amendments to the zoning and the code of ordinances including text amendments, rezoning, and conditional zoning districts. The Board's recommendation directly informs the Town Board of Commissioners to make decisions on these types of applications.

Please take the time to wish Scott good luck with his first Planning Board meeting scheduled for April 2, 2024.
